Campervans must show a self-containment certificate, as there will be no on-site power connections or showers. A small number of toilets, and limited water and power will be available in The Grandstand. There will be no cooking facilities. “It’s great Rugby World Cup 2011 fans travelling in campervans can park so close to Waikato Stadium and the Fanzone. That will enable them to really enjoy what Hamilton has to offer without worrying about having to re-park their vehicles in the CBD or near the stadium,” said Councillor Peter Bos, Hamilton’s Rugby World Cup 2011 ambassador.
“Walking with your Rugby-mad friends through the city will only enhance your great Hamilton experience.”
Visitors using the Claudelands campervan park during Rugby World Cup 2011 are encouraged walk to Waikato Stadium, approximately 20 minutes away.
